Dear Crafter,
Photo & Stitch was an idea conceived by a frustrated crafter. While craft patterns abound, the many hours required to create crafts left her disappointed with the impersonal results. Certainly, a cross-stitch, quilts and needlepoint with teddy-bears could be crafted for a teddy-bear lover, but - what about a pattern starring a favorite teddy-bear?
She was further frustrated when she purchased a pattern with 100+ colors (it can go to 255) because she simply didn't want to try. It seemed to have just 1 or 2 stitches of some of the colors. Surely, computer generated, with no human intervention.
And oh, she longed to create a quilt starring her kids, or one of the landscape quilts, but a lack of time and a lack of confidence prevented that quilt from coming about.
So, after 30+ years as a crafter, and 20+ years as a Software Engineer, she decided she could CRAFT BETTER.
And so, Photo & Stitch was born.with a little help (OK, a lot of help) from her friends!

Original: You give us the picture, and tell us what you want. Your picture is unique, and you can take pride in your originality. It begins as your picture, it is your interpretation, and your original artwork when you complete it.
Tradition: Our Needlepoint and Cross-Stitch patterns are first adapted to look more like a painting or drawing, similar to the traditional look of the crafts, but the pattern retains the originality you bring to it.
Innovation: Our Photo-Mosaics are a new, fresh idea with the emphasis on a traditional patchwork look, and the excitement of a Photo-Mosaic, a new exciting trend in poster-art.
Faster/Easier: The Warhol Effect will give you a distinct look, and, for many crafts you can reduce the number of colors so that you have a more "doable" pattern. In the case of cross-stitch, you can use colored fabric for the background, and stitch only one color which can easily reduce the time and stitches by more than 50%.
And the Photo-Mosaic quilts will give you stunning results in less than 12 hours! So.if you didn't allow enough time to make that special quilt, you might still have that chance!
